On today's podcast, we’re talking about GRATITUDE! We are practicing our own gratitude and sending our biggest thanks to our Live Better community. We have so much to be thankful for always, and specifically around this time of year.
During this episode we'll not only be showing our gratitude for our Live Better community, family and friends but also talking about actionable ways in which you can show gratitude to yourself and others on a regular basis. Whether it be helping someone get through something, or showing excitement, you name it, gratitude comes in more ways than just one.
Be present. Show gratitude. Have the best day ever!
Bret and Jason are coming to you LIVE on the Live Better Podcast this week in El Salvador!
The culmination of Bret and Jason's work…their purpose (AND passion)…is to help upgrade the lives of our community through health and wellness. This led them to create Live Better retreats.
Groups of people come together from all over the world in a beautiful destination for a week of self-reflection, discipline, fun, and sun. Without the distraction of home life (job, chores, social FOMO, errands, and cold weather…), you’re free to focus on exactly what you want to be doing. You (actually) have time to sit down and read, journal some thoughts on a new side hustle or reflect on a difficult time in your past, exercise every day, learn about yoga and mindfulness in an actionable way that helps you be better at [insert job description]. If this sounds like something you've been looking for, come join us.
You’ll come away from a Live Better Retreat being able to answer the following questions:
Listen in to this episode as the two talk about Live Better retreats, purpose and the way in which they both help others find their purpose through self-care.
On today's podcast, we’re going to borrow a concept from the world of psychedelics, specifically the way psychedelic drugs interact with the user. It is called “Set and Setting.”
Taken from Ido Hartogsohn, “The concept, which was first proposed by Timothy Leary and his group at Harvard, claimed that the character of a psychedelic experience is determined first and foremost by the user’s character, expectations and intentions (Set), as well as by the social and physical surrounding in which the drug experience takes place (Setting)."
Let’s suppose for a minute that in this hypothesis we swap “psychedelic experience/drugs” for “life” - it would read like this:
“The character of [life] is determined first and foremost by the user’s character, expectations and intentions (Set), as well as by the social and physical surrounding in which [life] takes place (Setting).”
From a wellness perspective, the combination of set and setting is very important. In this episode, we talk about ways to change your mindset (set) and how can we set up more environments (settings) to facilitate a better mindset for you being able to improve in some way (i.e. setting up your office to feel more creative).
In this episode, we talk about being in charge of your life. Your life is determined by YOUR actions, YOUR expectations and the way you want to be treated and how you want to it, and by the intention (effort and focus) you put behind it. If you are looking to up-level your life, and need some advice on how to get there, this episode is for you.
