Live from the Live Better recording studio! Bret and Jason are here this week on the Live Better podcast (last podcast of the year!) reflecting on 2019, both personally and from a business standpoint.
As much as it is important to look ahead to a New Year, it's just as crucial to reflect on the past year. Many people look to the New Year as a fresh start, but reflection on the past provides more value than expected to succeed that next year, in a way that you want to.
Looking back at everything you did in 365 days is something you should be proud of! Some goals are accomplished and others maybe didn't go as planned and that is ok. Think to yourself, what do you want to do next year? What you did do this year that you want to continue? What you not accomplish that you want to this new year? What did you think you were going to do? Why did you do it? Why didn't you?
Sometimes you just need a second to reflect on the past year before diving head first into a fresh decade. Try not to set a New Years resolution just to set it, think about the strategy behind it and WHY you are choosing to do so.
Instead of setting resolutions (i.e. New Years resolutions), Live Better is setting an overarching direction for 2020 and setting goals and conversations underneath that direction.
We are starting the conversation early so that we already have momentum and can hit the ground running on January 1st.
During this episode, Bret and Jason are talking about both personal and business goals including (but also not limited to) the following: learning to play an instrument, exploring more calligraphy and creative writing, creating process around business and personal routines, participating in a variety of races (rather than just focusing on one big race like the marathon). If you struggle with creating and following through with goals or you are already looking ahead to where you want to go in 2020, this episode is for you!
